Why Israel?  I have always wanted to go to Israel.  As long as I can remember.  Now, at 53+ years old, I’m leaving July 1st to go and multiple family members and friends have asked “Why Israel”!  It’s a fair question.  Especially since my answer is “I don’t really know…I’ve just always wanted to go”.  So, on this trip, with this blog, and through my journey, maybe I’ll find out the answer!

Simple answers could be that I’m Jewish and it becomes engrained in you along the way to  desire to go!  But, I have 3 sisters and 2 brothers and none of them has any desire to go!  So, nix that answer!

It’s deeper than that I know.  It’s more than just an interest or a curiosity or a fulfillment of my Jewish duty or desire acquired through Sunday School, etc.  But I can’t say for sure what it is.

I will say, the timing of me finally realizing my dream couldn’t make more sense; couldn’t be more appropriate; couldn’t be better timed!
