10/19/2013 – Wizard of Oz themed party!

How fun to dress up for Halloween.  Haven’t done that in YEARS…and, honestly, as I was trying to get myself all dolled up as GLINDA, I was wondering what made me think I should do it now!!!!!!!

But it was fun, and silly, and itchy!  And when we got to the party, the little ones who were left were so thrilled to see Glinda and The Wicked Witch and The Scarecrow!!!  So it made it all worthwhile.  But I”m grateful I brought street clothes to change into!

Funniest was that #1. I realized I couldn’t drive in my crown, so I had to take that off as I got in the car.  Since my son had helped me get it on my head in the first place, you can imagine that removing it was not easy.  Some of the velcro was stuck in my red wig!  and then #2. I needed to buy GAS…of course I needed to buy gas in my Glinda costume!  You should’ve seen the looks I got while holding my dress in a bunch with one hand and pumping gas with the other!  and lastly, #3. My car is still full of sprinkles despite vacuuming!
