11/28/14 Friday (from Kibbutz Yagur to Nesher… We hope! )

November 28, 2014

Sitting on a bench waiting for another Ulpanist to join us on our trip to the nearby town of Nesher; (Shabbat or Sabbath starts at sundown today so buses will stop by 3:30 at the latest); We were up until after 4 am in my room with other Ulpanists watching the movie Pitch Perfect in my room on my tablet. We shared lots of stories and had lots of fun… But slept very late because of it!

Update : a nice trip to Nesher! A small town and all we did was go to a teenie Shwarma restaurant.

As I write now I’m at the Stop Market with Michael; which is a kilometer or so from the kibbutz…; The return bus from Nesher stops just outside of Here. Michael is in line paying while I rest up a bit for the walk back.

Walking along the base of the Carmel mountain Ridge is gorgeous.

The idea of getting to see these pretty sites every day is really lovely!  The Carmel mountains are gorgous, breathtaking.

The kibbutz has a petting zoo/farm and a wedding gardens and also boards horses and has several different exercise facilities for the horses.  When we took one of our walks, we got to see some exercising going on.

There are many incredible trails through the Carmel Mountains and the best hikes begin at the base on teh kibbutz and we got right to the trail starts.  You should not go alone because of the scorpions and snakes!

This is the walkway out to get on and/or off the kibbutz and to go to the bus stop and to go to the Stop Market

turning back on our walk to  the bus stop, I thought I might as well take a picture of the gate of the kibbutz!

Now we have arrived in teh city of Nesher which is pretty near the kibbutz; we went there for a bite to eat; this pic is taken as we got off the bus; it’s a grocery market across the street from the bus stop

another shot of the market and the street we crossed to get there!

believe it or not, this is the restaurant we ate at !  The Sign Says Falefel in Hebrew!  It’s literally just a ‘hole in the wall’!!!!

On our way back, we went to the stop market area and I had my picture taken outside of the bike shop!!!

I took this pic of the BAMBA display.  Bamba are a lot like cheetos, but they have different flavors, including Peanut Butter–which Kenny fell for when he was in Israel.  So I took this pic for him really!

It was beginning to get dark when we got back, and the moon was beautiful…unfortunately my camera doesn’t capture that too well!
