June 16, 2025 – Day 2!!! Rejuvenate, Progress, Enjoy!
I’m only blogging today to justify the late post for yesterday! lol I am blogging, for me (but willing to share if anyone is interested), as I intentionally move forward in a progressive attempt at hyper-reguvenation! I’m overly-dramatizing my healing/health journey, but only for me to make a more concerted effort to view myself more positively and less medically! I mean, you seriously get caught up in one appointment after another. And every test seems to show something “curious” in some “other” area of your anatomy!
It’s kind of like how I had to reframe my “good leg” “bad leg” thinking! For the last 10=15 years I have struggled with such bad knee pain, but kept going anyhow. What else can you do! I gained and could not lose insurmountable amounts of weight. But eventually I lost a bunch of the weight, not without all sorts of assistance. I’ve had the total knee replacement but the years of PT had me always saying “up with the good, down with the bad” in reference to traversing steps. My PT post-surgery blossomed when I figured out that my GOOD KNEE was now the post-surgical knee! That one reframe helped me recover and strengthen the leg much more quickly–not that it’s 100% completely, but getting there!
Below pic is from a couple weeks ago, hours after my cardiac ablation surgery. Thank goodness my kids made me take a nightgown… I needed to lay low and stay calm, etc. for 2 weeks, which ended day before yesterday! So that’s why I’m now allowed to develop a plan to build up my stamina and hopefully get on my bike again. Although my ortho surgeon is not as excited for me to get on my bike. Everything else I want to do is fine, but he has warned me of the risks of falling and what it could mean for my knee. So I’m hesitant but hopeful!
