July 10th — What a Great Day

Yay, today was MASADA!  We took a sky ride up to the top of Masada and then, in the intense sun (no real shade on Masada) we toured the site of so much ancient history.  I have wanted to go there so long I was sure that I was going to be disappointed when I finally did…but NOT!!!  It is so amazing how they built and brought water up to this mountain-top fortress….everything about it is amazing.

And, if that wasn’t enough, the gift shop at the end (don’t all tourist sites bring you right into a highly air-conditioned gift shop?) also had an AHAVA Factory Outlet store in it!  Woohoo!

Then we went to a hotel in the area where a buffet lunch was arranged for us as well as access to the Dead Sea and YES, I did it…I floated in the Dead Sea!!!!  Kept trying to talk myself out of it…but I didn’t…This year of “Lila Say Yes” continues!!!!!

Tonight is our last night of free time so a bunch of us are heading back to Ben Yehuda Street in a bit, but wanted to at least get the photos uploading!  I took way too many, I know!!!
